Who we are
SUNx is an EU-based organization committed to promoting Climate Friendly Travel (Paris 1.5: SDG: Nature +ve) through Education2Action and Dodo4Kids. It draws inspiration from the late Maurice Strong - climate & sustainability activist more than half a century ago. We are supported by Malta Tourism Authority & its Observatory.
Our mission
We Believe every child has the right to travel in a cleaner and greener world and to understand how their journeys can impact different places, empowering them to become more conscious travelers. We also believe that children have the human right to receive education for free. Our mission is to provide tourism and climate change education for every child across the Climate Friendly Travel Network.
Our approach
Dodo4Kids is the first innovative program in tourism aimed at inspiring children to engage in Climate Friendly Travel and learn about its Paris 1.5, SDG and Nature Positive interactive elements.
It combines storytelling, gamification and learning to engage primary school children and families on holiday. It incorporates books, fun activities and a dynamic website for use before during and after trips. Travel inspires, educates and bonds families: it creates lasting experiences, insights and memories.
Our purpose
We Know our world faces major climate, sustainability and biodiversity challenges and we embrace the spirit of the Baku and Glasgow Declarations in our work to help shape young minds towards Climate Friendly Travel, to respond to the climate crisis, sustainably, while enjoying the beauty of nature. We are very mindful of the special challenges faced by small island and developing states.

Dodo, The Return is an animated television series of 65 episodes of approximately 5 minutes.
Created by Christian Joller, this educational series is a mix of cartoons and reports on the theme of the environment.
The SUNx Institute secured the worldwide rights, from its creator, to use the Dodo to promote Climate Friendly Travel to schools and young people in hotels and even home use around the world.
