Pratishtha Parajuli is from Nepal. She is a graduate of the very first cohort of Climate Friendly Travel Diploma with SUNx Malta in collaboration with the Institute of Tourism Studies in Malta. Prior this, she had a postgraduate in International Sustainable Tourism Management from Monash University, Australia. She has had several years of sustainable tourism industry experiences working for tour operators and convention centre in Nepal, India, Australia and Canada. Her work has mainly been on tourism research, niche tourism product development using natural and cultural resources involving local communities where possible, pricing, operations and promotion of itineraries, tourist attractions, events, conference, services and destinations. With passion and teacher’s training certifications obtained in contemplative practices such as yoga, mindfulness meditation combined with professional background, education and training on sustainable & regenerative tourism and Climate Friendly Travel lately, Pratishtha intends to instill climate hope with the wider community by means of compassion for behavioural changes to reinforce human-earth connection.

I am a trained Trainer of Sustainable Tourism, an UBUNTU Leader, a student of PG Diploma in Climate Friendly Travel, a graduate of Masters of Environment and Sustainable Development and Masters in Rural Development. As an enthusiast, sustainable learner and practitioner with more than a decade of experiences in the field of tourism, DRR, Project Management & Education system. I am associated with Nepal Tourism Board as a Public Relations and Publicity Officer and is the focal person of Nepal Tourism Crisis Cell. As a student pursuing a qualification in Climate Friendly Travel through SUNx Malta in collaboration with ITS Malta; I aspire to continue gathering knowledge, practice and the sharing of different practical interventions which can help in sustainability.

Jayshakti Sarraf is from Nepal, where he serves as a Senior Officer at the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) in Kathmandu, one of the country’s foremost institutions for destination marketing and tourism development. With nearly a decade of cross-functional experience spanning Public Relations, Strategic Planning, Marketing, International Partnerships, and MICE, he has been at the forefront of shaping Nepal’s tourism narrative on the global stage.He holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance and a Bachelor in Hotel Management, equipping him with both the strategic and operational acumen to drive impactful tourism programming. As a scholar of the Climate-Friendly Travel Diploma with SUNx Malta in collaboration with the Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS) Malta, Jayshakti is deepening his commitment to embedding climate resilience and sustainability into Nepal’s tourism policies and destination management practices.

Ujjwal Bhujel is from Nepal, where he serves as the Sales Manager at Prakriti Resort and Organic Farm, a pioneering sustainable tourism destination located in the buffer zone of Shivapuri National Park. With extensive experience in hospitality sales, destination marketing, guest relations, and sustainable tourism development, he plays a key role in positioning the resort as a model for responsible and regenerative tourism in Nepal. His work focuses on promoting authentic nature-based experiences, supporting local communities, and integrating sustainability into tourism operations. Through his involvement in sales strategy, partnership development, and market outreach, he actively contributes to expanding awareness of eco-friendly tourism practices among both domestic and international travelers. As a scholar of the Climate-Friendly Travel Diploma (CFT) with SUNx Malta in collaboration with the Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS) Malta, Ujjwal is strengthening his knowledge of climate action, sustainability, and tourism resilience. He is committed to advancing climate-friendly and regenerative tourism initiatives that create lasting benefits for communities, culture, and the environment while supporting Nepal’s transition toward a more sustainable tourism future.
