Meet the Chapter Leader
Youssef El Archi is a research assistant at the National School of
Business and Management of Tangier, Abdelmalek Essaadi University in
Morocco, and the Institute of Rural Development and Sustainable Economy,
Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Hungary. He is
also a research collaborator at the Centre for Tourism Research,
Development, and Innovation (CiTUR) hosted by the Polytechnic Institute
of Leiria in Portugal. Additionally, he is a member of prestigious
associations and councils dedicated to promoting tourism and ICT (IFITT
and WMC). Youssef has authored numerous papers and books on technology
adoption, destination marketing, and sustainable tourism, published in
top-tier journals. He serves as an editorial board member for over 20
reputable journals (Q1 and Q2). He is a scholarship awardee at the
Institute of Tourism Studies and chapter leader in Morocco representing
SUNx Malta. His passion for climate, environment, and tourism drives his
work. As a chapter leader, he aims to promote sustainable tourism
practices, raise awareness about climate action, and foster
collaboration among stakeholders to create a resilient and thriving
tourism industry.
Bendjedid Rachad Sanoussi is from Benin and is currently based in Morocco. He is an ICT specialist and PhD researcher at Euromed University of Fes, where his work explores artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and sustainable tourism. He is currently a Visiting Researcher at CENTOURIS, University of Passau (Germany), focusing on digitalization and sustainability transitions in tourism. Since 2016, he has been developing and supporting digital innovation initiatives that address social, economic, and environmental challenges. He is the founder of Green Leaf AI, an agri-tech project using artificial intelligence to support sustainable agriculture, and serves as Advocacy Officer at Ecolotrip. Passionate about climate action and youth engagement, he is committed to advancing Climate Friendly Travel and helping build a more resilient and sustainable tourism sector.
